About this pattern

Six cheerful cats crowd into one quilt: a snowy white cat, a brown tabby hanging upside-down over the top edge, a black-and-white tuxedo, a silver-grey tabby, a second brown tabby popping up front and centre with both paws over the edge, and a vivid marmalade orange. Every one of them has wide green eyes, cream whiskers, an open happy mouth and a collar with a jingly gold bell - blue, red, green, purple, blue and red, a different colour for every cat. They are set against a lively patchwork of cobalt and royal blue, golden yellow, red, olive green and cream squares, framed by a deep chocolate-brown border, which gives the whole design the feel of a jubilant game board come to life. The flat, graphic folk-art style makes every shape a joy to cut and fuse, with bold outlines, striped fur and that irresistible cat energy that leaps right off the fabric - a design that will delight cat lovers and colour lovers in equal measure.

✏️ A NOTE ON THE FINE DETAIL: the whiskers and the finer fur striping are drawn too finely to cut as their own pieces of fabric, so they print as thin lines inside a larger numbered shape. You cut the shape whole, fuse it down, and sew those lines on top as decorative stitching afterwards (they are optional). The Sewing Guide explains it step by step.

I draw each design by hand as an original vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator, then develop it into a ready-to-sew applique pattern - every cutting line, every fabric colour, every template page and instruction.
