Autumn Fox

About this pattern

A sweet little fox sits in an autumn woodland, all bright fox orange with a cream chest, peachy inner ears and rosy cheeks, big round eyes and a tiny happy smile. His bushy tail curls up beside him, and fine cream fur flicks brush across his head and tail. Around him stand teal and olive pine trees with bare brown trunks, two sky-aqua clouds drift overhead, and falling leaves in marigold, cherry red and pear green tumble from the branches above. Rolling green hills and leafy plants in teal, mustard and tomato red finish the scene on a warm cream ground.

The 24" size is included for anyone who would like a smaller wall hanging or cushion. The pieces are a bit small there: many stitchers merge a couple of neighbouring pieces cut from the same fabric, or leave the tiniest accents out, and the design still reads beautifully.

🎨 SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate - the project uses raw-edge fusible applique and basic quilting techniques; most pieces are large and friendly, and the thin leaf veins and fur flicks can be cut as narrow slivers or stitched as detail.

About how this was made: The initial design idea was developed with the help of AI tools. I then drew each design by hand as an original vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator and built the pattern myself: the templates, colour placement and sewing instructions.
